It is wednesday, today we had CCA , about 11 new students came but they thought there were auditions T.T I wanted them to join straight away^^^ keke Ms Sim told me that a girl was stalking our CCA Blog ~~~~!! THANK YOU whoever that person is and it did inspire me to start writing for 2011 ^^

CCA Fair this year was a success !! We had 38 students that signed up but not as in really in but seemed interested !!! I would like to thank the sec 4s this year that work hard together with the excos, thank the excos for leading the CCA !!^^

Recent Events:

1) Collaborations with H.O.M.E
   Every thursday a group of filipino and indonesia maid comes to our school to learn skills such as CPA [Computer Skills] and chinese language. So far these are the two groups that are active. another extra group is the games group. They are activated when there is a big lot of them coming like 40 ?

2) Rice Drive
   We might be starting the rice drive again ! Please do support once i get the details of the event

It was a wonderful event :) I made a new friend too. Her name is Sherbelle she is a sec 4 student. Although there were still some that didn't like the gathering very much but i know that there are some there who truly loves it . Here are some of the pictures below:

We played games in colours !! Which means that in a school there are a specific amount of different colour and so when at park as the whole IJYM we were split into colours so that there will be a mix.

I don't know if you understand but it is just about splitting the schools into different groups.

This is just the part one of the trip that i am going to do then next one will be coming soon ^^

What we are doing on the 11th March 2010

    That day was 11th March. When CCA started we were told to split into 3 group: Payatas, The Rice Drive and those who needed CIP points doing the sewing.

    I was in the Payatas group. We were told to research more on Payatas because this year the Sec 3s are going on a mission trip to Payatas and we need to know more about the country and how to interact with them thats why. Although the teachers, Ms Scully and Ms Sim, have been there with the previous Sec 4s, it is better to know about the country our self then spoon feeding.

   Then it was the The Rice Drive team. When i went back to the chapel i sawing them discussing. Look a picture of them :P

what they discussed was about adverting it and also planing the duties and the schedule of what we will be doing. I have got nothing much to say because i am not really in this group so... yah >.<

Thirdly, was the sewing group. I went there myself to take some photos because Ms Sim wanted it on the blog i guess. But what they were doing was really interesting^^ i wonder what is the product like when it is done by our cca members. I was glad cause everyone was really calm in doing it and they really had patience !!! if it was me i would give up ! Here are some candid shots :

It looks like lots of fun right a lot some my thing i am talking rot but look at the end product it makes a person proud of something they have done :) oh P.S the finish products were not made by our girls those were made by the teachers because our girls couldn't finish it :) ^^^ but this is what they will be what they are doing.

After that the book marks will be on sale and the money will be sent to the charity if i am not wrong or raising funds.

IJYM BEACH OUTING 2010

Today we went to East Coast Park for a bonding session !!! First because of a little drizzle we started to eat pizza that was bought by Ms Sim and Ms Scully (Thank you and may God Bless you always).

There after we started with our ICE BREAKERS

We Split into 2 teams one played Dog and Bone!!!

And the other played some wolf catch the the hen's chicks

The Loser that was in Dog and Bone game is Gillian's group and they had to do the chicken dance

And it was time for the big game (like amazing race)

An Special Activity

(These were really our feet >.<)

Today the whole CCA did an activity which was really surprising yet meaningful. We were told by the teachers that we are to take off our shoes and walk around the whole school picking up litter. Most of us thought it was a punishment because last week we were told to bring plastic bags but we end up not bring.

After about 30 minute we arrived back at the chapel only see Ms Scully and Ms Sim standing there waiting for us...

You all are going to find a partner and then you are all going to wash each others legs !?

I was really shocked. it was really something i have never seen or heard before "someone is going to wash your leg?"

And that was how we started washing others people feet >.<>

Overall i had fun today. it was actually a hard to come by chance to do such thing....

New Year Resolution!!!!

1) I hope we can grow as a CCA

Hi all my wonderful people!!! (: sorry for the late update haha, well i was busy with exams so. yep :D In this week, lets see.. we did our part 2 of "hope" ((: . Ms Sim was not free this week so luckily ms Scully came in.

So, ms Scully split us up into 2 grps, the sec 1s and sec 2&3. We were all actually just to do on hope and further elaborate what it meant to us.
Well so the sec 1, had to do posters on the rice drive. Which i remembered they had done last time but... ok sorry haha went off topic. But yes, they went given markers and paper to do the posters. While we sec 2 and 3 went to com lab 1 !!!!! :D haha(at least the computers there were working well (: ) Ms scully then announce to us what we were suppose to do and she read out some speech about H.O.M.E which actually i found was very interesting that there was such a thing.

Sec 2's were to reasearch on what H.O.M.E was, UNIFEM, and how UNIFEM was connected to our school. What we found was was very exting yet interesting: Do you know that our own Sopfie Chew from 4/6 who graduated in 2008 was a member of UNIFEM youth group? I was so pround when i heard that. To think one of our own school mates was so thoughtful and caring towards others, which is what i hope we all will achieve one day (((: !

Sec 3's were to do a timeline on UNIFEM, i think... haha i wasnt really paying attention haha. But i could see at in the end of the lesson that they actually did a pretty good job(((: ahha so THANK YOU SEC 3'SSS!!!

AND SEC 2'S TOO!!!!! haha. Oh the sec 1's also did nice posters too! from what i saw they really put in effort, so i just want to thank all of you for your time that day. IM SURE WE WILL DO WELL IN THE UPCOMING COMPETITION!!!!

Hello all!

It's been one year since I last posted a post. -.- Since 8th August 2008. Haha. Okay. Abigail has been updating a lot about what we have been doing since the start of CCA for this term. I'm so happy our blog isn't dead. :D Anyway, I have posted the youtube video which Laura and her team are dancing from below. Do try to learn the steps from this video! The video's pretty cute. Haha.

Yeah. The Algorithm March. It's a Japanese dance I think.

By the way, I've updated the content page of the blog. I think Abigail updated the time and date for our weekly CCA session. And I've also added in an 'updates' section to our blog with a scroller notice displaying all our CCA updates. So to be kept aware of the updates of our CCA, do take a look at our blog's notice board. I have no idea why the notice won't start from the top (as you can see there is a spacing at the top) if someone knows why please help me out thank you! I will also add in a photo archive once we have CCA photographs! Like photos of our outings and events etc. :)

Oh yes, to the drama team:
We'll try to finish the two scripts as soon as possible but probably not by next week because Wei Zhen, Tanisha and I all have to study for our CAs next week! All you guys need to do now (those from the Cinderella skit) is to memorise the first scene of our skit! If you don't have the script then never mind (I can't remember who I gave it to). We will try to get more copies when we're done with the whole thing. :)

Hey all, again :D haha well today was something wasnt it? I had so much fun watching the different things that were presented. First of all we had, ermmm, oh yes, the singing ((: . Well i hav to say, i think it was quite nicely done. The song they choose was " Send somebody a smile" according to them it was from a commercial Ad haha.

Then again we had the drama people, my gosh haha it was so funny :D First we did cinderella and i have to say, it was nice but sadly the script was not done fully, so we had to show the "nerd" one.OMG it was so weird man!!! Especially since i was the nerd haha, and amira was the girl, LOL i think she is good at acting. We should thank rachel for her wondeful effort at making us cooperate ((: .

Soon it was the dance, which well i found was cute, but i wished that we were shown the video. I think Laura did a good job of finding simple steps for us to understand so thanks Laura!!!! I think it was a Japanese song?

after that we all went to the com lab 1, to do a essay on "what hope means to us" for the IJYM competition which oh yes, i should elaborate. Well we have our IJYM competition in august or sept, the theme is on "hope" and the destination is at CHIIJ Toa payoh :D so people. I think it was on the 8 of sept and 7th too i think. So please make that day free!!!!! haha.

as i said, the essay, er...., we were suppose to find a picture on what we think is "hope" and ms Sim she was so nice to upload pictures for us to see. Time passed very fast and soon we were saying pray in the chapel. This time we each had to say something that we were thankkful for (: . Yupss thats about it (:

ok so hey all (: haha well this week IJYM was a blast! I shall update you all what will happen in the next few weeks to come, hmm ok lets see

wk 7 or 8 : we may be going to the children's home to do CIP {: this is really going to be fun cause i we really have like so many things lined up for them (: .

Well we will be there for about 4 weeks, on the first week i should think we will be doing a colour competition with them haha and origami too i should think, on the 2nd week we will be playing gamesss like "musical chairs" "charades" and acting too!!!! Man i really cant wait as you see this is my first time haha.

for the 3rd and 4th week there will be sing-a-long sessions, dancing and even a small party (: .I'm very glad to part of all the preperations in this event.

so at the last IJYM session we were split into groups of according to what we will be doing for the children. Mine was acting haha we were to do 2 skits so one of them HAPPEN to be my groups one hahahha. Which was very embarrsing because i happen to be the geek chasing after the cute girl hahaha it was really really fun to act but my throat was like super painful.

Rachel T was really good at the organising haha though actually i wasnt really listening to what she was saying hahah well i have to say i really had a good time, cause most of the time i was actually just laughing at my stupidity ahhaha.

the next skit was about cinderella but this had a twist which will be shown in the next lesson so come for IJYM next week!!!!!!!! haha yes so well i think the music department also went well according to kim that is, well yup i think that is all haha so bye!!
